We've been joking for years about typisches Bayrisches Sommerwetter, when it's rainy and chilly and you have to wear a jacket in JUNE, of all months.
Turns out it's no joke, but a real thing, with a real name: Schafskälte (Sheep's cold). It's caused by weather patterns that pretty reliably import cold air from the north, and it's called "Sheep's cold" because the sheep have already been shorn and now they're cold just like the rest of us.
